Vardhman Mahaveer Open University is an open university in Rajasthan located in Kota. It was established on 23 July 1987. The curriculum of this university is specially focused on humanities, commerce, library science and informatics.
This university aims to educate people deprived of traditional education. There are six centres of this university which are spread all over Rajasthan. This university educates about ten thousand people.
At the undergraduate level, the University offers various courses leading to a bachelor’s degree in the respective specialization. The University currently provides BA, B.Com and B.Sc in Preparatory Programs and Pass Courses, VMOU, BJMC (Regular and 2nd Year Admission), and B.Lib.I.Sc, BBA, BCA BSW Is.

The course lasts three years for regular UG courses, while it is one year for Bachelor of Journalism and B.Lib.I.Sc. The period of the BJMC (2nd-year entry) course is six months. Admission to all UG programs (except B.Ed) is made based on the qualifying examination of the candidates. In the case of B.Ed, candidates must appear for an entrance test conducted by the University.

- Candidates who want to be admitted to the college under Vardhaman Open University (VMOU) must first check the course’s eligibility criteria. Then, please check the category-wise seat availability before filling out the application form.
